Q. What size are the containers?

A. We have two sizes of containers, the standard being 20 feet (20' x 8' x 8'), equivalent to 1280 cubic feet, and the full-size, 40 foot container (40' x 8' x 8'), equivalent to 2580 cubic feet.

Q. Are the containers clean and dry?

A. We only buy brand new containers of steel construction. They are sealed against damp but have ventilation to prevent condensation. All containers are kept in excellent condition and cleaned thoroughly before each use.

Q. How secure are the containers?

A. The two sets of gates are locked at night and alarmed with a monitored system.

Q. Do I need to book?

A. It is not always necessary but it is advisable. Make a no-obligation reservation, even if you are not sure what date you will require a container from. We will do our utmost to accommodate you when you need it.

Q. Do I need to bring anything with me?

A. You will need to bring your first months licence fee which is payable in advance, and four weeks deposit. Please also bring your own, suitably sized padlock or we have some for sale on site.

Q. How easy is it to access my container?

A. The gates are open for standard trading 08:00 to 17:00 Monday - Friday, 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays, however if previously informed we can arrange to open the yard for you at any time with one days notice. We offer vehicle access to every unit so, unlike other storage facilities, you can drive right up to the doors of your container for loading and unloading, saving lots of time and energy.

Q. Do I need to sign a lease?

A. No. We ask you to fill in a licence agreement, giving contact details and an invoicing address. It is NOT a lease and can be terminated with 2 weeks notice.

Q. Am I tied to a long period?

A. Absolutely not. There is a minimum period of one week. You may, of course vacate within this time but you will not be eligible for a refund

Q. How do I make future payments?

A. We will send you an invoice every month in advance. Payments can then be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or, set up a standing order.

Q. What do I need to do when I want to vacate my container?

A. We only require 2 weeks notice when you want to vacate your container. Any unused storage days beyond the four weeks minimum period will be refunded.

Q. Do you have you a fork lift facility?

A. We have a fork lift able to lift 3 tones. This service has to be pre-booked, any excessive requirement may be subject to a fee.

Q. Should I insure my belongings whilst in store?

A. Yes, this is solely your responsibility and on the agreement you will sign to say you understand this. It is up to you but, for your own peace of mind, please check with your household insurance provider, or see the links for companies that insure goods in self storage. We have found that most are happy to extend cover to your belongings in storage free of charge because of the security measures we have in place. Our premises are, insured for public liability, and fire.

Q. Is there anything I cannot store?

A. You can not store anything toxic, explosive or flammable ie. gas cylinders or fuel, anything perishable i.e. foodstuffs and no stolen goods!
